Easier than Expected

I came to a training today to learn something hard. Usually, this type of material that we are about to learn was difficult because it needs above average knowledge. However, time has passed and now its easier than ever. The expected 12 hours training could have been taught only for less than an hour. Only basic knowledge is required and one just have to learn where to put the right materials to make it work.

Sometimes, in life, we often hesitate of doing things because of its perceived difficulty. We often stop before taking the first step. The most important thing is to meet it head-on and do it.

What's Up with All the Meeting?

I have this problem with meetings, I don't like attending them. Meetings usually take quite an amount of time with few real results. This is compounded with the fact that most meetings end up with the possibility of having another meeting to discuss the output of your meeting. The only tangible evidence of a meeting is the minutes of the meeting that will be submitted to take note of the meeting.

I am more amenable to a brainstorming session because it gives you the right to throw in ideas that will help move forward the problem at hand. Usually in meetings, people just sit around and wait for the directive of the organizer of the meeting. A few people might question or add something to the agenda at hand but a few solutions or answers are formulated because usually a meeting is called to make everyone clear of what they should do. I would prefer that this should be written down.

I would rather have that they present the problem and let everyone involved create solutions individually then present them during a brainstorming session. In this way many ideas will be exchanged and the best possible solution will be made.

How I Spent Nine Hours Today

First Three Hours

• I went on a trip to another town. The ride was about three (3) hours long. My journey started at 8:00 A.M.. It was a tiresome ride because of there was no space for me to move my feet during the trip. The vehicel was full or baggages and we were cramped in it like sardines.

The Next Three Hours

• When I arrived at the mall, I immediately took my lunch because my stomach was already growling. This is because I don't take anything before a trip to avoid stomach problems. It happened to me before and it was awful on my part.
  
• Then, I went to the barbershop to get my hair cut because it was already getting long and I don't want to wait for a reprimand before cutting it. This was probably the best time I had in a barbershop before because this is the first time that I thought that the barber knows what he was doing. He was fast and efficient because he wasted no time in cutting my hair and it turned out okay.
• After that, I bought new shoes because I have no shoes of my own. I'm just borrowing from my brother and I destroyed his shoes.
  
• I went out of the mall and went to a tailoring to have my uniform measured. It took quite a while there because the establishment was still adjusting to the new management.
• After the measurements were made, I went back to the mall and bought new books for me to read. I bought two books that were sequels to the book I was about to finish.

The Last Three Hours

• After doing my business at the mall, I went out to the terminal beside the mall and rode for home which took another three hours. I arrived before dinner. Right now, my body still aches because of all the travelling but I can't sleep. So surfing the internet is what i'm doing right now.
  

It's Friday

Friday is a casual day for employees especially during the afternoon. The hours of 3:00 -5:00 P.M. been designated as "hataw time" for us employees to do some exercise and other recreational activities. However, only a few of them does what is required of the time. Some just slack around, while others just go to other offices and gossip with their friends.

This time for me passes too slow. I don't like it when I have nothing to do because that gets me sleepy. I just want to get home and relax.
