Unsolicited Ideas in the Stillness of the Night

Ever sit alone at night thinking. I have.

The stillness of the night is the perfect time for these ideas to flood my mind. Ideas that would conjure up editions that would make you laugh, smirk, sad, bewildered, confused and an array of mixed emotions. Also, crazy ideas are rampant. Far-fetched, out of this world ideas that I wouldn't think about during the day.

Why does the night bring such ideas that could stir our emotions?

I think that the eerie silence of the night erases the barrier that we could use during the day to block out these thoughts. Block them out with music, work or people. But the night offers us the time to let it all out without fear of looking like a fool.

Sometimes, we laugh at a crazy idea that we just made. Doing such act in the middle would make people take a look at us and wonder.

But there are also times that these nightly thoughts brings us fear especially when it brings about the negative possibilities of the future. Grim results of the things we ever hoped for. The possibility of defeat, failure or loss. These ideas would keep us awake even until early dawn.

But why does our mind bring about such negative thoughts? Are we in control of such thoughts? Would it differ if you're an optimist or a pessimist?

I still have no clue about it.

All I know is that after the ideas come along, the questions will follow. And that will be another topic to think about.

Sneezy

Now, I look like Sneezy, one of the Snow White's seven dwarfs. I been like this evening and I don't know where I got this. I was fine the whole day and now I have a runni9ng nose and I haven't stopped sneezing since. The weather tonight is very hot but I don't get it why I'm sneezing. It's usually cold morning that trigger my running nose. Maybe, this is one of the effects of climate change. The newspapers reported that it would be a cold January in our country but in my town, it was mostly scorching. Even the office feels like an oven when the airconditioners are not on. I dont like days like this, I can't concenrate aand it's very frustrating.

It Was a Dark & Cold Night...

If I had to make an introduction to describe tonight, that would be it. It has been constantly raining since this afternoon and until this very moment. Since I was a child, I find cold night depressing especially when you're alone. It is also oftentimes projected in movies, rain usually comes after a sad announcement like death or break-up. It's usually better better for me to spend cold nights with your loved ones. Cold & rainy nights like this usually keeps members of the family at home. Rain acts like a deterrence to some people because they can't enjoy the night life that much if it's cold outside.

However, I love the rain when it comes while the sun is shining. Since I was a kid, we called that phenomenon as "the feast of the heavens". A simple yet magical description of such an event. It doesn't happen that much and maybe it's a blessing when it happens
